About Hawaii Nursing Licensure

Advance Your Nursing Career Today!

The Hawaii Board of Nursing is the key resource for nurses looking to get their Hawaii nursing license. There are two main options: Licensing by endorsement or examination. The option for endorsement is available to nurses who have an active RN license in another state. The examination is required for unlicensed nurses who need to take and pass the NCLEX-RN exam.

Once the status of a nurse has been decided in regards to endorsement or examination, it is time to gather the appropriate documents required for a Hawaii RN license.
